Rupert Murdoch is a capitalist first and a conservative second. He put his hat in hand and spent a day freezing his nuggies in the cold to get a chance back into the Chinese market. The Fox News coverage on China has been muzzled for a long time.

My perception is that Fox News is closer to moderate than any other broadcast news. They lean to the right, and they are the only right leaning broadcast media outlet. There are a bunch of liberal koolaid drinkers who are used to the highly leftwing media who claim Fox is some extremist outlet. They have the number one and something like three of the top five rated TV news broadcasts. Of course since you have five others competing for the leftwingers attention, even if Fox News was a rightwinger outlet they would have a huge advantage.

If someone were smart they would form a Bill Clinton style news network. The would take a poll every day to see what the exact center is on every issue and avoid any partisan rhetoric.
