I have heard that anywhere from 50 to 75% of Ca citrus has been lost. The financial amount is over 1 billion dollars.

Some snow is visible this morning near Napa and on a few peaks north of SF.

Avocados were also hit hard.

Artichokes and broccoli too and Monterey County has been declared a disaster area where much of the crop is located.

That's right. Citrus trees need to be "shocked" by cold snaps to make their fruit produce more sugars. It hasn't happened this year.
