That's an easy one. If you are high functioning enough to know you are different, you won't be happy, especially if there is nothing you can do about it. High functioning autistics have a very high rate of teen suicide for the same reason. It's hard enough to fit in if you are "normal", when you aren't it's often just too painful to be alive.
