Meta.... Seems you haven't read much on this topic.

So, list those professional people in whom you place faith (not reason). Then tell us where they get their money.

Then ask ------ aside from payments, can you defeat their science, logic, data? I could have as easily given you a prof at MIT. Or, since you refuse to read Lomborg, perhaps you might review how his 'peers' tried to crucify him for daring to present heretical ideas that evolved from empiricism. Any serious student will discover that tree-hugger environmentalist religion can be as corrupting to scientific inquiry as cash remuneration. You know, they made Galileo recant.

Since your assumption is that payment corrupts the outcome of science, it should be VERY easy for you destroy his logic, data, methodology. SO have at it. Prove that he is less capable or less responsible than Al Gore.

I wonder who funds Pimentel the anti-ethanol guy. :-)

Correction, July 20, 2005: The article originally stated that ethanol critics David Pimentel and Tad Patzek received no oil-industry funding. Pimentel receives no such funding, but Patzek runs the UC Oil Consortium, which does research on oil and is funded by oil companies. His ethanol research is not funded by the oil industry. Return to the corrected sentence.
