Kirby, AS is on the way out. I tried to show a greater sense of tolerance in the new year, more for myself, rather than anyone else, but I am now convinced that "our thread" is seen by her as just another toilet for her propaganda, If she wants to continue to treat the thread like a toilet, she will soon find herself circling the drain.

ANYTHING ANYWHERE I have said to ANYONE about their meanness, ignorance, or foul mouth was ALWAYS in response to their demonstration of those qualities--just as you have done here with your vulgar mouth and your gratuitous play to the gallery--GET IT!? My, you are a violent little bugger, though...aren't you?! :-) As to the issue of free speech. Si changed policies in order to pander to those wishing to employ censorship and segregation. Many of us find such segregation and censorship to be unworthy in a civilized democracy. Your red herrings about private property are just plain dumb. SI is a site contracted to members for their use. The money paid was originally intended to purchase fair access to all the public commentary on these BB's. The PM feature was in place to allow for private communications. The idea was that administration would exercise an OBJECTIVE prerogative in censoring people for violation of the TERMS OF USE--which all of us signed onto as part of our contract. Giving INDIVIDUALS the right to the disruption of dialogue through tin pot totalitarianism and capricious segregation is neither civilized nor useful. None of us signed on to be bullied and censored for having opinions. None of us signed up to have our lawful opinions suppressed because of gender, age, color, religion, politics or personal dislike. This is my opinion. You are entitled to yours. Si is like a fleet of hundreds of busses. There are many seats on each of the SI busses. But they are supposed to be available to all leasees of the bus--namely, US. There are rules and regulations in place to permit the removal of such access rights. These rules are Terms of USE. They are for the OBJECTIVE application by management. One cannot pee in a public pool without consequences--IN SPITE THE FACT YOU PAID YOUR FEE TO GET IN. OTHER SWIMMERS CAN REPORT YOU FOR PEEING. BUT THEY CANNOT KICK YOU FROM THE POOL BECAUSE THEY OBJECT TO YOUR SKIN COLOR OR YOUR POLITICS. Once you've paid your money and agreed to abide by the terms of use, you have access to the pool so long as you act lawfully in accordance with your contract. Contrast this with SI where ordinary members can now gang up on people for ANY reason and effectively act to destroy most if not all of the benefits of membership. What was supposed to be an adult community now panders to sandbox juveniles (such as yourself) who snivel, whine, ban, and pretend to "ignore"--while playing to the grandstand and engaging in personal and gratuitous attacks. I had never heard of you before and I don't recall ever speaking to you. I have never said anything remotely insulting to anyone who had not earned it in previous or current dialogue with me. It goes without saying that your puerile attack has now earned my contempt! So snivel away! Contrast MY values of engagement with YOUR foul mouthed introduction of yourself?? Just reread your post!! By the way, I am NONE of the expletives you called me by--not even a right wing extremist! But you are hardly interested in hearing or telling the truth. You've demonstrated that clearly... Oh, one more thing: My comment, "Name calling is irrelevant. It doesn't hurt anyone" is an expression of personal opinion. It is NOT "setting the rules for this thread"--as you very well know.
