No one ever documented any real problems with the longstanding FISA procedure, except Cheney chafing at this challenge to his unaccountable executive dream.

The country does best when the system works, and is allowed to work. Maybe that lesson will sink in with people again.

Your response is rather off topic isn't it?

My complaint was about the way it is described in headlines and media.

I think its manipulative and disingenuous to portray the program with headlines suggesting it is a domestic spying program.

The implication of course is that the Bush administration may be spying on your poor aunt Jenny talking with her bridge club friends...and that is simply not the case, unless her bridge club friends are foreign terrorists.
