"there might be more to that name change than meets the eye"

Absolutely! Proportionately, Mac sales were 70% of iPod revenues!! $3.4B revenues just for iPods. That's just under 50% of total revenues. At this rate...

Apple is the closest thing to the full realization of 3G capabilities. Look at the iPhone which is supposed to be able to download emails via wifi or edge. If I am interpreting that correctly, that means the iPhone will be able to connect to home wifi networks. I can't do shit with my sprint ev do phone. Rather, I just refuse because of my complete lack of interest with Sprint's positioning of their services.

I would totally love the idea of being able to connect to my home wifi network via my cell phone. It expands the opportunity for cell phone functions in and out of the home.

I paid $600 for a gateway notebook 2 months ago which seems to be working just fine. Most of my computer problems these days are more a function of my cable service from comcast. I keep extra wifi boxes around the house and comcast customer service on my speed dial. Boxes are just boxes, my biggest challenge is getting the music or movies from my little boxes to my big boxes like my 50 inch flatscreen.

Frankly, I'm far more interested in iTV than the iPhone, since it will enable me to wifi my digital content to my html connection on my flatscreen. However, I really don't have any interest in any telegimmicks that I can't set up through my home network, like the tivo.
