As for the other issue about constitutional balance of powers...that is just your opinion.

I gather you think there is anything more than "just your opinions" on this thread. Or perhaps you think your opinions are something beyond opinions.

To say again, the issue beneath the language of "spy" or "not spy" is the conditions under which it's permissible for the government to break the law (FISA law) and violate the constitution in the interests of security.

There may well be such conditions. But this administration did not discuss that with us. They chose to hide their breaking of the law an their violation of the constitution and then insist their interpretation of the constitution permitted them to do so (without either a national debate, a congressional debate, or a court debate).

A very large no no. One we can only hope won't get repeated and will get sanctioned.
