Yes people are likely to share to a great extent. But higher prices will increase the supply to share, and induce some people who don't really need the share as much to go without.

Your point wasn't about real world facts, it was an accusation that selling for a large profit in tough times is slimey. If you think its inherently absolutely wrong in your opinion then my hypothetical provides a good counter-argument. If you think its slimy because it has negative practical consequences, then your problem is that it has positive practical consequences.
