Thanks for the comments. I did enjoy the book, even if I didn't agree with his conclusions, he makes some interesting points and outlines some of the problems of pollution and corruption.

He believes the Chinese people will revolt against the communist regime, as he believes that a communist government and a free capitalist market place are incompatible. He gives an example of China wanting to be a leader in tech while attempting to censure the internet content and government subsidizing SOE's while joining the WTO.

This book has wetted my appetite, are there any books that you would recommend on the subject?
