Maybe it's more the case that they finally have a forum from which the public can hear their views.

(No doubt their views were already well-known inside the corridors of power... but New Speak was the order of the day.)

I, too, agree with the former Director of the N.S.A.: "There is no way to win a war that is not in your interests."

(That comment sounds a little like the closing conclusion from that old movie about the kid who hacked into the military computer net and started playing the 'game' of 'Thermonuclear War'... that was elucidated by the 'super computer' in the movie: "A very odd game. The only way to win is to not play...." :-)

I agree. But I beleive that the war in Iraq IS in our national interest....
