Unless Bush listens to the wrong people and starts putting up unprincipled "moderates" for USSC nominations, we may see two years where it is EASIEST for him to get confirmations.
If the Dems REALLY start to believe they can elect a president, they may start trying to "mend the fences" so Republicans won't prevent them from addressing vacancies in their "new era".

It was John McCain, along with other mush-minded Republicans, who ambushed Bush on judicial nominations for two years when the Dems were susceptable to simply being overrun on the issue. Those mush-minds have been relegated to a minority-meaning they have no real influence at all.

Thus we could see the Dems recognizing a different set of priorities on judicial nominations.

Just one possible scenario, of course...
