One of the first wage control efforts in the US was wage increase limits during WW II. The inability of employers to attract skilled laborers with financial incentives caused the rapid increase in employer sponsored health care coverage. Today the rapid increase in healthcare abuse by employees not financially responsible for their healthcare cost has resulted in a crisis that some wish to resolve by more government controls. Lets go through this slowly: Government controls caused the problem. Some people want to solve the problem caused by government controls with more government controls. How do YOU spell STUPID? Oh yes. Democrats want to put more wage controls in place.
