Wasn't much of an hurricane by any - or in particular your - standards. The total death toll in Germany 5 persons out of the 90 million population. Just 15 people succumbed to this "hurricane" in all Europe and that includes fishermen on duty. What's more unique, however: All of Europe was hit by heavy winds at about the same time. Quite warm here right now at 60F. When is the foehn the same as a hurricane?
