Re: Piper tells the reader of Final Judgment that 1963 proved to be a pivotal year in a publicly unreported conflict between America’s 35th President and Israeli Prime Minister David Ben Gurion, principally over Israel’s failure to submit its Dimona operation to International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspection, and secondarily to a negotiated settlement with the Palestinians.

I think JFK's hostility to a nuclear Israel was indeed the clincher (to JFK's assassination) but there was no way for Mossad to carry it out alone, under the nose of US counter-intelligence... Keep in mind that the 1960s were still the heydays of FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover. Also, there was no love lost between JFK and his Veep LBJ, the latter actually hated both Kennedys --JFK and RFK. Bottom line, the assassination of JFK, just like the assassinations of Abraham Lincoln, James Garfield and John McKinley, was an all-American inside job. Of course, Israel benefited from it along with the racist, Judeo-Protestant rightwing within the US polity. The latter always resented the rise to power of an Irish, Catholic spoilt brat in a country that fancied itself as an anti-Catholic utopia born out of Catholic Europe's persecution of Protestants and Jews....
