Jim, after months of reporting shortages of AMD processors, the channel saw a huge flood of them come in December.

Since the shortage was blamed on AMD supplying Dell with everything they can make, the sudden flood was likely due to Dell cancelling the orders in JIT fashion.

Sudden spike in inventory translates to quickly falling prices for existing AMD processors. In short, the channel got screwed.
