There is nothing like turning pages and loosing your place after dosing off. Some form of wireless electronic paper would go a long way to spurring mass adoption of ebooks.

Another biggie for me is being able to flip through pages to get the drift of a section. Apple's "friction scroll" method might work.

The pieces are slowly coming together. E-paper, like Starfire has been 10+ years in the making. With the Chinese now rolling along like the Koreans and Japanese, commercializing such innovations might finally accelerate.
