Now that I have a little SF it looks like we are neighbors.

Silver Fields to begin Beacon Light fieldwork Aug. 1

2006-07-21 14:03 ET - News Release

Mr. Chris England reports

SILVER FIELDS CONTRACTS BEACON LIGHT INITIAL FIELD WORK

Silver Fields Resources Inc. has contracted the services of experienced mining geologist, Herb Bradshaw of Spokane, Wash., to carry out an initial exploration program on its Beacon Light property, a past-producing mine in the Coeur d'Alene Silver Valley district of northern Idaho.

The program is required to define the local geology of the property to:

verify the condition of surface access to various adits and shafts;
to verify underground access to the existing mineral zones; and
to propose a budget for these purposes.

Upon completion of such a program, management would be in a position to finalize a realistic phase I budget for the opening up and studying of the property's mineralized zones and to evaluate the feasibility of defining a potential mineral resource at the mine. Phase I would include the following:

road rehabilitation (labour and equipment) to access the adits;
portal rehabilitation excavation of one or more adit portals (equipment, labour and supplies);
underground rehabilitation to make workings safe;
underground geological mapping of accessible workings;
sampling and assaying of accessible mineralized zones; and
limited drilling to help define potential ore zones.

The program is scheduled to begin Aug. 1 and will be completed within a two-week period.

We seek Safe Harbor.

van.v - .465 now ... geez that pisses me off, it waits till the contest ends and then moves ... look at fwr.v now, sitting there like a lump on a stump, it couldn't possibly do the same to me could it, lol

With all the discussion about Idaho silver with SNS and the Crescent Mine, along with Hecla, Lucky Friday, Bunker Hill, and Sunshine, I should mention a little miner in that area that I like, New Jersey Mining Company (NJMC). Their properties are right there among those mines (http://www.newjerseymining.com/projects_map.html ), with the Golden Chest in limited production, milling at the New Jersey Mill, and the Silver Strand going to production this year. They plan to expand with a concentrate leach plant opening this quarter and just acquired a copper-silver deposit. Here's an older article on them: newjerseymining.com .

NJMC trades very thin on the bulletin board, so it’s really only for long-term investors, but IMO it's a good little stock for metals bulls to own. It's actually one of my larger positions that I got via PP last year. As the Silver Valley heats up, this little $20 million market cap producer could get a lot more attention.
