This I agree to completely. The damages are relatively insignificant, but of course the potential gains, if Q is successful, are indeed significant.

There are big differences in evaluating gains and losses, depending on what time frame you select. In the short run, an unfavorable verdict against Q might have an impact, but probably little impact in the long run. Oftentimes investors group all impacts together, as if time frame made little difference. This confusion, I believe, creates a lot of irrational investment decisions.
