As you know, I posted the two articles as an investigative look at military plans and possibilities. It supports my position that it is extremely likely that the culmination of defensive measures against an insane ideology is very near.

Mr. Hersh admits that he well understands the reason that his reporting was ridiculed as fabrication. Secret war plans are not much good if they are not a secret.

It is irrelevant to me whether or not or to what degree there is respect or animosity between Hersh and the President. It might mean something to you but it does not speak to the point I was making.

"Iraq is a remarkable success story...."

That is factual enough by any realistic measurement. And the United States Agency for International Development is only a tiny tiny part of that overwhelming transformation of a country into democracy against all odds.

The next step is to get the murder rate down to at least U.S. levels. :-)

"Bush and Cheney and the rest of the Bushies and the neocons have a most wonderful sense of humour, don't you think?"

I don't think sense of humour depends very heavily on race, color, politics, gender, and so forth. People with a clear conscience are probably more likely to be able to enjoy the humour in the vagaries of life. But who is to know?
