In their home countries Corporations often do not split stock.

Hoffman LaRoche is an example I think.

So you might have a stock traded in Sweden at the equivalent of $100, $500, $1,000 a share but the U.S. ADR is traded at a fraction of the Sweden issue.

I believe you have to look at the ADR and see how many shares of ERIC it's converted into to get the apples to apples comparison.
