Anastasio Somoza in Nicaragua. There were lots of others, especially in Latin America. When another poster here was berating the local lefties for "supporting" dictator/murderers, I was also thinking of Central America and South America, as well as Congo & Angola. Unfortunately the USA has a very long history of keeping bloodshed running in far off places, if we deem it in our interest.
