Something of significance lost in the body of the story by those who will react to the headline "IEA Cuts 2007 Oil Demand Forecast" was this

>>
The reduction in the agency's forecast for non-OPEC supply was larger than its cut in world demand. As a result, it raised its estimate for the amount of crude oil that OPEC can pump to balance supply and demand, statistically.

The so-called ``call on OPEC'' crude for all of 2007 was raised by 100,000 barrels a day to 28.6 million barrels a day, and the fourth-quarter call was raised by 400,000 barrels a day to 29.5 million barrels a day.
