Anyone who supported Bush on the war will be defeated in 2008, even in some red states. I am not just talking about presidential contenders, but senators and congressmen. A few deep red states may let pro-Bushies survive but not many. The new winning strategy for Republican candidates is to stand up to Bush and propose national health care, balanced budgets, ethics reform and a cleaner environment.

Those who stick with Bush are going to be paying a major price. It's already hurt McCain too, this "surge" doctrine of his.
