I'm fairly sure, after 6 years of this disaster, that all the cynicism in the country doesn't even approach what we need. I keep talking to people who still think the Republican party stands for 'conservatism' particularly in finance and law even if they despise Bush for being such a putz when it comes to war.

Lying about WMDs, ignoring Osama bin Laden, ignoring Afghanistan, lying about the cost of Iraq, ignoring Iran and then beating up on Iran (hey this is new!) in order to expand war, whacking the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights upside the head, increasing the national debt by over 55%....all of this escapes too many people.

If we were more cynical as a country, we'd be richer, have less risk and be having much more fun.
