I agree, although it depends on the dynamics and the depth of
the collapse of the dollar. You are right if the dollar goes
to zero. If it just crashes 50-70%, then some things could
crash more. The essentials will be much more expensive, for sure.

This is spot on -- what I cannot understand is why anybody would view this event as a reason to anticipate lower prices in dolla

Those people are still thinking US-centered globe. The world economy is fastly moving away from US-centered economy.
