What I was saying was that --- with so many independent variables --- and only a 'yes/no' binary answer allowed, that the question is confounded... because of the question's design it becomes IMPOSSIBLE to determine whether someone has answered either yes or no BECAUSE they desire success or failure for America in Iraq, or BECAUSE they desire success or failure for the President.

(NOTE: if FOX had simply broken this down into TWO QUESTIONS, then the results would be reliable and not confounded... and they would *also* be able to get at what I think they wanted to get at, by analyzing & comparing the answers from BOTH questions together. But, they did not, which makes this question either an example of very sloppy survey design, or else an example of a push-type poll, in my book.)
