Unless you want to argue the Senate isn't "the government", which would strike me as strange, but then much of this "conversation" has been beyond the bounds of belief. Ah, so this is the way you crawfish out of having to concede that a Senate Committee is not "the government." (Highly politicised, too, see the protests by some members at the end of the report complaining of partisanship.) Once again, your rules apply. Words mean what you want them to mean.
