I neglected to mention that most of the derailments on the Metro featured cars of Italian manufacture. The "Benito Mussolini" model In fact. They may run on time, but they sure don't run on the tracks. ;-)

Not to worry. Most of that bill which you are absolutely correct in assuming huge cost over runs, will be taken care of nicely by the home and property owners increased real property tax collections which have more than doubled in the last 30 months. All of a sudden I'm a psuedo millionaire with the house and land going from 500,000.00 to 1.5 in less than 4 years! Don't know how the retired fixed income seniors are surviving this. Know I can't afford to move. Ron

OT/ Honolulu rapid rail - for a cost over run like that, you need real professionals. How about the contractors from Boston's Big Dig ?
