that crazy, gop dominated supreme court does it again

"The U.S. Supreme Court ruled California's 30-year-old criminal sentencing system unconstitutional today, saying it wrongly allows judges to add years to a prison term based on facts that were never found by a jury.

The 6-3 ruling in a Contra Costa County case allows thousands of prisoners to seek shorter sentences."
