My subdivision was built on a former orange grove (Pinellas County used to be the #1 producer of oranges; now it has the most people per square mile in FL). Lots of trees left and we are 3-4 weeks from them blooming. The air gets so sticky sweet it's almost a bad thing!

I know what you mean. There is a tree that grows in LA with a similar kind of flower........it has a smell that is a cross between honeysuckle and orange tree blossoms. The smell is so strong its almost cloying....if it were man made, it would be overpowering. The tree blooms in the middle of February and it would always signify to me the beginning of spring in LA.
