California Legislature passed a bill abolishing Private Health insurance. They are on the right track. The Break a Leg Governor did not sign it.

Employer provided health insurance largely grew as a response to government wage limits during World War II. Is the best response to a fix what is broken by government tinkering more government tinkering?

Any change can be considered tinkering, but changing what or how you tinker isn't the same as extending the total level of tinkering. The unlimited deduction is itself tinkering. Arguably limiting it is a reduction in tinkering.
