Although I really can't stand Bush, I wish his strange vision for changing Iraq had worked out- since I hate wasting money, and I would prefer not to have a new war in the ME. I really don't WANT Bush to be proved wrong, but (imo) it was pretty obvious there were some giant flaws in his Iraq ointment from the beginning. Many folks who actually knew about Iraq (and who weren't working for the Iranians, who really wanted us to go in and get rid of Saddam for them), spoke up about the problems in Mr. Bush's plans- but no one listened, because Bush was so convinced and had decided to stake his presidency on this. Bad gamble. Doesn't look like it's going to pay off. I have never met anyone who wanted Bush to fail, but many people who figured he would. It's akin to watching someone try to rescue a little girl out of a torrential river, when you know the guy attempting the rescue can't swim. His heart MIGHT be in the right place (although he might be doing it so he looks like a hero, you never know), but there isn't much chance he'll carry out his plan. And knowing there isn't much chance, and saying "Hey buddy, maybe you better not try that"- isn't the same as wanting the guy to drown, or wanting the little girl to die. Know what I mean?
