Hum, I smell somebody cozying up to the Republican position before the speech. The Republican position seems to be to support subsidies for ethanol. How is opposing such subsidies and saying "I would call them a bad idea" cozying up to that position? And Yes I'm against the CAFE laws. Its not one of my biggest priorities, and the laws (like minimum wage laws, although to a lesser extent) become less relevant over time if the standards aren't raised, but I am against the laws, even if its not something that I would make a huge deal about (unless they raised them a lot, enough to have a very large impact).
