At least Nancy Pelosi's eyes didn't jump out of her head. I like short speeches that get to the point. Now Jim Webb is whining about it.

I too thought it was just excellent. He laid out to the American public exactly what we were up against....He was quite candid. He was relaxed, and not pinched....I think he FINALLY booted his handlers and told them he had nothing to loose. Truth, told with conviction, is quite convincing. Also convincing to me, anyway...was looking at the audience, and seeing people like Kennedy, Durbin, Lehey, Biden, etc sitting on their hands and looking full of venom and with clenched jaws...

I watched it also, throughout I was thinking to myself, what a PRESIDENTIAL figure this man is. How can people detest him so? Then I fell asleep just as Webb came on. How can this be? I WANTED to watch the response, but I guess my brain KNEW what he would say before he said it so put me to sleep. How can this be? PREDICTABLE I guess. jdn
