Tim, Bush's goal is to cut gas consumption by 20% by 2017. This is miniscule when considering that still leaves us dependent on other countries for our oil. Bush is a man full of half-measures. He's still talking about cutting the deficit in 5 years. A man of vision would have said, let's cut our gas consumption by 70% within 10-15 years, so that we are oil independent. And let's eliminate the deficit within the next 2 years of my presidency. But he's an ass with no real convictions. We get what we vote for. And we voted for oil companies and their progeny.
