I completely agree, Dave. One of the most annoying things about frequenting TVWKASH (The Vast Weekend Known As Stockhouse) is this pointless obsession with house buys and sells.

The problem is that unless it's someone like Sprott who doesn't do retail, there is no way to tell if the transactions are for house positions or on the orders of a client. And if the latter, there's no way to tell whether that client is a savvy investor or a Big Dummy.

re: MTO and handicapping the house

Your comment about CKG and relentless selling was exactly what I was wondering about (I bought some of that sub-$4 CKG). One thing I try to watch for is apparently good stories where a small number of sellers with big positions are gradually exiting and putting pressure on the price. Once they finish, the move up can be quite satisfying.

The National selling seemed to finish first thing this am and then the stock moved up nicely. Not sure the move has anything to do with that sort of dynamic of course. Anyway good for Sporky and anyone else that was in.
