Republicans have also blocked promoting any sort of birth control methods (as much as possible) save abstinence, I suppose so as not to interfere with the "miracle" of human birth, and to discourage sex for fun. Unintended pregnancy is MUCH more of a probelm for the poor than the wealthy.

This is especially harmful in Africa, where AIDS is spread through heterosexual sex much more than here. That is one area the Dems have it all over the Reps..
