Your original statement asserting your opinion that time and irreversibility are key elements favoring current action. I pointed out how you are making an unsubstantiated claim.

It's the overwhelming prediction of the scientific community....i fail to see how that is unsubstantiated.

Not supporting Kyoto, does not equal thinking or saying "every argument for global warming is a load of crap".

It's a bunch of stuff. Staffing committes with rednecks, refusing to do anything about cafe standards, giving big oil subsidies, trying to drill in sacrosant places...if it qacks and waddles it probably is a duck.

Which says something about Inhofe's opinion, but nothing about the opinions of conservatives in general and isn't conclusive about Bush (President's don't agree with every notion or opinion of their appointees). It would perhaps show a level of skepticism by Bush, it doesn't show that "bush and conservatives in general start with the premise that it's all a crock of shit. "

They think it's a crock of shit. There's no other way to read it.
