If you clearly deliberately lead out facts that you yourself think are highly relevant, potentially even decisive in order to give a false impression, than I'd call that a hoax.

getting progressively worse you have

Honest look at and accounting for facts coming to a correct or at least reasonable conclusion.

Honest look at and accounting for the facts coming to a false, or at least highly questionable conclusion.

Honest attempt to look at, analyze, and portray the facts, but internal biases leading to poor conclusions.

Selective presentation of the facts, leading to a conclusion you are certain is true, but which isn't very solid if you use all data.

Intentionally fudging the data and/or deliberately coming to a false conclusion about the data, in order to make a case which is highly questionable, and which you know is questionable, but you think serves to benefit your own interests.

The last is clearly a hoax. The 2nd to last maybe not. The others clearly not.
