Bush is not for clean fuel. He's for political smoke screens. He knows that clean fuels, efficiency and ending the Empire Of Oil will be a huge issue for Democrats, and he wants to confuse the public. Every State Of The Union he talks about clean fuels, then does nothing.

I'd like to see Gore take on Bush on that issue especially.

Ethanol is not a very good substitute for gasoline. It does nothing to reduce carbon output.
