Actually VN could have been ended like Korea with the south free of communist domination - but Congress decided in 1975 to make sure VN fell. Aerial bombardment/renewed mining of NVN's harbors could have prevented conquest by the south as it did in 1972. The communist takeover of the south and the rest of Indochina was a horror - 1-2 million dead in Cambodia, who knows how many boat people perished escaping communism. Its shameful that you celebrate this. I will repeat Saddam will never invade another country, fill another mass grave, never use WMD's against civilians, never starve his children for propaganda purposes, never finance or harbor terrorists who've killed Americans. Its a shame you regret this. I could add that Gaddafi will never develop nuclear weapons now that he allowed us to take his nuclear program materials to Oak Ridge TN. That's another good thing.
