as with anything else, the big thing is what is included in the cost per foot, and what is extra. I find Canada cheaper than US and US cheaper than Africa. I guess the other thing is do you need it done to-day? People in a panic have driven the price up.

$30 per foot in Eastern, central Canada for smaller diameters (BQ) and up to $60 per foot in US west for N sizes. US west need to haul water, rock is softer but harder to get good core. eastern Canada, lots of water available, competent (tho harder rock) is easier to core.

RC drilling is up to about $17 per foot.
