Perhaps I think you're more informed than you are.

About the Iraq War, Bush said, "Absolutely, we're winning." and then later said "We're not winning, but we're not losing.". When the press asked about the "Absolutely, we're winning." statement Bush admitted that he wasn't telling the truth.

On Rumsfeld, a few days before the election Bush said he was keeping Rumsfeld to the end of the term. Immediately, after the election, Rummy [the greatest SECDEF in the history of the US] got the boot. Clearly, Bush knew a few days before the election that Rummy was on the way out. If that's not proof enough, Bush acknowledged to the press that he said that because he didn't want to affect the election.

Both cases Bush acknowledged that he lied.
