I think a no-exempt-draft based on your family's standing is a very good solution. The more influential and well off a family is (compared to the national median), the more sacrifices should be expected from that family. So if your income is in the 95 percentile, then chances of someone from your family being drafted should be 20x that of the bottom 5 percentile. In in addition to income you have had a direct voice in the process, say a governor or a legislator, then that score should double (or the family circle should widen). The bottom line is that sacrifice, like charity, should start at home. Without personal costs, the politicians are far too likely to plunge us into ruinous adventures.
