CJ, are you telling me that Gore travels around world wide with his film and gives speeches pro bono?

How about all those other experts doing the same, who pays for their tickets, hotels and other "costs" to keep them going doing what they do?

Don#t tell me that they cover that out of their own pocket.

I have a good friend, a medical doctor who happens to be one of the top 5 specialists world wide on his turf. Some people believe he may be the top guy. because of that he has more invitations to anywhere to give speeches at congresses and even smaller meetings.
They pay him a fee, which isn't that big but on top of that the frills makes his business attractive.
Five star hotels and other costs covered, first class air fare (which he trades in for two cheap tickets for him and his spouse while keeping the rest of the refund) makes for a good life.
He likes travelling and besides that he is a big opera fan. So he picks the best locations and carries on with his interests on the frills.

Now you may argue, that he is a real capacity and has real knowledge and so forth.

But as you know, perception is everything and I would be very surprised if no "expert" gurus from the GW movement make a comfy living along the same guide lines as my buddy.

I just mentioned one area, which may even be highly lucrative for the smartest individuals. The world loves to be conned and we are indeed talking about a religious movement here.

I don't think it primarily determined by fads, but science doesn't have a history of being strongly resistant to them either.
