Not a lot different than the heroin/methadone nonsense. Methadone (synthetic HEROIN) sounds so much nicer, it just happens to be a lot harder to detox from and has some other harmful side affects that the original version doesn't seem to. And it's a very round about way to deal with a tiny sliver of the problem while ensuring the main problem remains. But everyone feels better. Elephant? What elephant?

Sorry to hear you have a medical use for marijuana.

The California study was the least satisfactory, being highly biased towards oral THC (2000 patients were
given oral THC, versus only 98 for marijuana): still, it found that marijuana was effective in 59% of
patients, versus 57% for oral THC; however, 30% rated oral THC "highly effective," versus only 17% for
marijuana.


This is why a real study, done with proper technique, needs to be done on this issue. Too much conflicting and anecdotal data.
