You should not have to pay extra for e-mini data.

Matter of fact, I get mini gold, mini silver, mini soybeans, mini oil.....

Don't pay extra for any of it.

Re-Reading the post, I don't think you would care for the e-mini trade.

First of all you need a commodity account. Unless you have someone like Interactive Brokers that would mean you have to open an account with a different firm.

Then as well you don't strike me as a short term trader. ES is pretty much designed for the intraday trader.

In any event, trading SP Futures is a lot different from trading equities.

What you could do is open a paper trading account with one of the commodity brokers and see how it goes.
