"Polls don't mean squat."

The polls held officially on the first tuesday in November mean a heck of a lot. Last November they sent a message. In 2008, unless this President gets smart, the "squat message" will move the republicans out of the White House.

The wise old men of the Republican Party won't let that happen. They are already expressing their unhappiness....Mr. Bush will be told sooner rather than later that he has to learn to "think in new ways" on Iraq.

Follow John Warner. He is the best barometer of that sentiment.
