The article was edited after I posted. It didn't identify Sutton as a state senator when I posted it.

Proof - I posted on Jan. 24, linking an article that went up on Jan. 23, the NYTimes article you looked at was posted on January 25.

It's been heavily edited in other ways. The article I read gave more detail about the bedroom antics of Sutton which have been edited out.

Proof - the WashPost article I linked still has the Jan. 23 article up, nothing to indicate Sutton was a state senator.
washingtonpost.com

Amusingly, the Jan. 25 NYTimes article still doesn't mention that Sutton's a Democrat.

Which only goes to show that the NYTimes is more liberal than the WashPost.
